In August of 2002, three years after graduating from MATC with a degree in automotive mechanics, Joy Ko Nim Roessler began training under Master David Kijek. Within the year, he became an assistant to the instructors, which he continues as a member of the Teuk Gong Team. His first degree black belt was awarded in June of 2004, and Instructor Roessler is now working towards his black sash as a Hwa Rang Do student. During this time, he has attended various seminars conducted by Supreme Grandmaster Dr. Joo Bang Lee and Chief Master Taejoon Lee, and maintains employment with the city of Madison's Motor Equipment divison.
